How can I help my child in school?

Start by reading every night with your child. Kindergarteners love books and
new stories. Read at least five minutes a day/night. Ask your child about
his/her day. Also, check our Homework link for updates each month on what
we're learning and ways you can help at home. Please continue to work on
tying shoes, phone number, address, and an early bedtime.

Will my child have homework?

We are sending home Lap reading and a monthly homework sheet. Please check your child's folder each night. The website will contain homework instructions
on a monthly basis.

What letters is my child learning?

Your child should know all the alphabet letters by sight. Your child will
learn letter sounds on a weekly basis. Check the newsletter to review which
letters we worked on this week. Please practice letter sounds and how to
write
capital and lowercase letters.

What words should my child know?

Our sight words are introduced on a weekly basis as well. Please practice
these important words by reading the mini books that come home.

How can I help my child keep uniform sweaters and bring them home?

Please label everything you send to school with your child's name so that if
lost it can be returned to the proper person. Many items look alike so
children do not recognize their sweaters or other personal items.
