Welcome to Second Grade!
  
February is here -already - and we're ready to celebrate Groundhog's Day, !00th Day, and Valentine's Day!!!  We're looking forward to lots of fun and lots of learning this month.

Friday, February 10, will be a special dress-down day for the following Second Graders:  Katie Peyton, Ava Rocco, Cassidy Yesko, Sidney Bacon, and Bella Epperson.  These five students brought in $15 or more for the Jump-a-thon and have earned a special dress-down day!  Way to go, ladies!  Our whole class will enjoy a special dress-down day on Friday, February 24 - we earned that one by having 100% participation in the Christmas poster contest sponsored by Student Council in December. 

Lent also begins on February 22 - please note that there will be NO HOMEWORK given on Wednesday nights during Lent so that you and your family can attend Lenten worship services.  They are held here at Messiah at 7 p.m., preceded by soup suppers at
5:30.
Please be sure to keep your eyes on the weather reports for possible snow days - if Fairview Park or North Olmsted are out, Messiah is as well.
