I have been lucky enough to teach children for 26 years. I began my teaching
career teaching first grade in the public schools of Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Later, after my children were born, I taught preschool for five years at a
Lutheran church in Lakewood and have been teaching at Messiah for 19 years!
Nine of those years were in first grade and the last ten have been in
second grade.
I have been married to Mr. Neumann for 38 years. We have been blessed by
God with three wonderful children and four delightful grandchildren.
I think second graders are the smartest, funniest people in the whole school -
don't you?
All of us need to know that we belong here, that we
are welcome here, and that we will be missed when we're not here. I
want us all to know that we are like a family. We will take care of
each other, we will help each other, and we will support each other. We will
treat each other the way Jesus treats us, with love, compassion and
forgiveness. I want all of us to come to know more about how much
God loves us, so much that He would send his own Son to save us. I want
us all to trust the promises of God to us in Jesus Christ.
