This is my second year of teaching at Norwalk Catholic School Early Childhood
Center and I am looking forward to a great year. My husband, Scott and I
have three children who attend NCS. Gabrielle is in fourth grade, Sara
in 2nd grade and Sam in four-year-old preschool. In my spare time I enjoy
scrapbooking, exercising, and gardening.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development from
Bowling Green State University with a pre-kindergarten teaching
certificate. I also have a Masters degree in Family and Child Studies from
Miami University. My work experiences include being a child care worker,
preschool and kindergarten teacher, training coordiantor for child care
programs and college instructor. After spending eight years at home caring
for my own children I was blessed with this opportunity to be a preschool
teacher at Norwalk Catholic School.
My mission for the class is to ensure that all students acquire the knowledge
and skills they need to succeed in school. The curriuclum follows the Ohio
Department of Education content standards and is developmentally
appropriate. In a faith-filled educational learning environment all areas of
development will be addressed including intellectual, social-emotional,
physical and creative. The learning environment is a Christian atmosphere
that respects and encourages the individuality of all children.
