Again, what a fun weekend for the Flyers. Congratulations and good luck to the St. Paul Flyer football team--final four!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I feel so blessed to have each and every one of your children in my life. The most wonderful aspect of my job is that I have an extra classroom full of students to add to my list of blessings each Thanksgiving morning. Thank you to the parents who afford me this opportunity.
The students' Turkey Talks are great. They are hanging on the bulletin board outside of our classroom. They colored a turkey to illustrate their stories and they look super on the board. I will be leaving the turkeys up until Tuesday, December 1. Stop by to see them if you are able to.
All students will need to to complete all of the timed test by the end of the second grading period. This will count as a test grade for Math.
Students need to recite the November prayer (Prayer of St. Francis) by next Tuesday, December 1.

Math
vocabulary words: multiplication properties, factor, product, quotient
The kids are doing a great job with the multiplication properties. There is a test on chapter 8 on Tuesday. Students should review pages 178-179 to be prepared for the test.
We will begin chapter 9 next week, which is about algebra and working with multiplication and division. Please begin to review division facts with your child, as this will help them with that chapter.
We will continue to take timed multiplication tests. Students should be working on their flashcards at home.
Language Arts
This week, we will continue to work in our Reading books , reading "Grace and the Time Machine". We will finish by reviewing the story, then completing a brochure about it. The students enjoyed having parts in the play last week and reading through the story.
We will also be working in grammar more with irregular plural nouns. There will be a quiz over this on Tuesday.

Social Studies
We will be finishing up the chapter today and filling out the study guide. The test will be on Wednesday, December 2. We will also be working with using a map and determining distance by using a map scale.
Religion
We will continue to discuss the sacrament of Baptism. We will discuss the different symbols of baptism.
