Dear Parents,
This week we learned the letter Vv. Some stories we read this week were Ernie and the Vacuum Salesman, God Knows all about me, and Curious George Visits a Toy Store. For our arts and craft projects the students painted with vegetables on their letter Vv paper. Some vegetables we used were carrots, green peppers, asparagus and broccoli. The students also colored a picture of a veterinarian and each student was able to plant a vegetable. The vegetables we planted were green beans; we will be keeping a close eye on the green beans and are excited to see them when they start growing.
Parent teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday April 29th and Friday April 30th. There will be no school April 30th because of parent teacher conferences. I have a couple sign-up sheets above the students’ lockers in the hallway. Please sign up for a time to meet with me. These meeting will only last about 15 minutes.
Mrs. Shelley will be returning back to school on Monday. The students and I are excited to welcome Mrs. Shelley back to school. We want to thank Mrs. Missler for all of her help these past few months.
Next week we will be learning the letter Ww. The students may bring something to school on Wednesday or Thursday that begins with the letter Ww. A skill we will be working on at school next week is sharing toys and other materials we are using.
