Comprehension Skills: Cause & Effect
Phonics: Suffixes -ness, -less
High Frequency Words:
cattle, trails, cowboy, herd, campfire, railroad, galloped
Vocabulary Words:
roundup, chuckwagon, bellowed
Amazing Words:
climate, livestock, occupation, buckaroo, drover, lariat, legend, rawhide
** Practice reading the High Frequency Words, Vocabulary Words, and Amazing Words with
your child so they will be able to pronounce the words as they read the stories.
Spelling: Suffixes -ness, -less
kindness, careless, goodness, useless, fearless, darkness,
sadness, sickness, helpless, thankless, fitness, weakness.
Challenge Words: awareness, eagerness, wireless
Lang: Commas in a Compound Sentence: Sometimes two sentences have ideas that go together.
These sentences can be combined using a comma and a connecting word, such as and or but.
Math: Multiplying and Dividing : Chapter 30 .
