Announcement

Catholic Schools Week was a great success.  Thank you to all of the parents who made it possible for both teachers and students to celebrate and participate in all of the activities.  The Penny War was won by the students in grade 6!  Over $2000 will be sent to the leukemia division of Children's Hospital.

Weather permitting, the children will be going outside for lunch recess.  Please make sure that they are appropriately dressed for the cold weather.  While just a sweatshirt is sufficient for a car/bus trip to and from school, it is not enough for recess.

Our Lady of Lourdes School is participating in a pop tab collection for the Ronald McDonald House.  In order to motivate everyone to save their tabs, all of the grades will be competing against one another to collect the most pop tabs.

Friday Folders are used to communicate school information on weekly basis.  The folders contain graded papers, the Lourdes Lowdown, Friday lunch orders, etc.  Please look for these folders on Friday afternoons.  Don't forget to remove all of the papers and sign the folder on the appropriate line.  Each child needs to return the folder to school on Monday morning.

Even though the regular school day begins at 8:00 a.m., it is very important for the children to be here at 7:50 a.m. when the first bell rings.  This will give everyone ample time to unpack the backpacks, get books and folders ready for the morning classes, turn in necessary papers, etc., and arrive at the "special classes", like music class in the Annex, by 8:05 a.m.

It is a privilege to work with your children on a daily basis.  Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or leave a phone message in the office if there are any questions or concerns.
