NewsFlashWe are in the month of red! One of our favorite days of the year is Valentine's Day. The anticipation of distributing those heart shaped greetings just takes a second grader's breath away. The list was sent home last week. No doubt the cards are addressed and waiting to be delivered. Send them on in on Tuesday morning. In keeping with the colorful theme, the children may wear their comfy jeans topped with shades of pinks and reds. It's always a fun afternoon. Thank you for attending the parents' night for First Communion. It was good to touch base with everyone as we begin the preparation process for the reception of the sacrament of the Eucharist. It is always a bit hectic as people leave following the close of the meeting. Hopefully, each child now has the large sheet of yellow construction paper for the aisle decoration. If you did not receive one, please let me know, and I will make sure that one is sent your way. If you were not able to fill out The Bread Experience form last Wednesday evening, please return it to school. Our room mothers, Mrs. Weller and Mrs. Priestle, will be coordinating the day and will be looking for your response. If you did not receive that paper, please let me know. Next Friday, the Room #7 will have our third turn to plan the 8:30 a.m.Mass. The readings will be sent home with the assigned children on Monday morning. Please remember that you are all invited to celebrate with us. Perhaps you've heard that OLL came in second in the annual A.R. contest. We gave St.Al's a real run for their money. In fact, they must have felt us breathing down their necks and nipping at their heels. We were that close...almost a photo finish. Thank you soooo much for all of your encouragement. Hug your little readers because they all did a fabulous job. Room 7 has their points for the month of February. Although I continually remind them that the contest is over, they insist that they don't want to lose the momentum. They keep glancing at the tan tiger perched atop the T.V. "But we want to keep our tiger". They do have a competitive spirit. The sweeties in Room #7 would like to send you the warmest and most heart-felt sentiments...Please be our valentines. You have a red and pink week, and we will too. Sincerely, K.B.and Kids |
