Memorizing multiplication facts is not difficult if you study your facts using an organized method. Below you will find nine lists of facts. Each list consists of related facts, for example the first list consists of all the facts that have "10" as one of the factors. In order to study your facts, study one list at a time in the order given below. If you have multiplication flashcards, pull out just the facts needed for the list you are studying. If not, make flashcards for each of those facts. Set aside 20 minutes a day to study the facts in your list. Create two piles, one for the facts you already have memorized (and you will find you do know many of the facts already) and one for the facts you need to work on memorizing. If you concentrate on one list a week, you should be well on your way to having facts memorized by the time school starts. Note: You will need to know the 11 and 12 facts for fourth grade. Don't skip over a list if you don't also know the 11 and 12 facts in that list.
TIP: Taking your flashcards with you everytime you get in the car is a great way to squeeze in extra study time!
