Week of February 13, 2012
This Tuesday the students may bring in valentines, provided they include a valentine for each class member. If they do not choose to have one for each classmate, they will need to exchange valentines outside of school hours.
Please remember that there is no school next Monday, February 20th.
This week in class:
Math – The students will take a test on long division on Tuesday. We will then begin a unit on fractions.
Reading – Students will read the story, “A Peddler's Dream”. The story quiz is Friday.
Expression – We will begin a unit on adverbs. Students will learn that an adverb is a word that modifies, or tells more about, a verb.
Science - Students will begin a study of the nervous system and five senses.
Religion – This week is "Random Acts of Kindness Week." Student will discuss how we follow the Great Commandment when we commit acts of kindness towards others. They will be working on activities emphasizing acts of kindness.
