Monday, or the first day of the week, the children are to write one sentence
with any five spelling words in the lesson. This is to be handed in on
Tuesday morning.
The children have a Simple Solutions Book. Every evening(Monday-Thursday)
the children will be responsible for doing one lesson for homework. Please
do not work ahead in this book. We will correct the lesson the following
morning in class.
Every evening the child should go over their spelling words in preparation
for the test on Friday.
Math facts are very important in grade 2 and the children need to study
their facts for 10-15 minutes every evening.
The children have a list of reading words that should also be reviewed each
evening.
Every child should read each evening for 10-15 minutes to an adult, this
will help with reading orally with expression. The adult should also read
to the child so the child hears fluent reading.
Your child may have other written homework. Please check their folder
nightly for homework papers and other papers sent home from the school that
need your attention.
