Who am I?

Hello! If you are reading this, then you probably want to know a little bit
about who I am. Hmmm...let's go back many moons ago. I was born and raised
in Marion, Ohio and graduated from Marion Harding High School. After
graduating HS, I decided not to follow in the footsteps of my two older
sisters and older brother and enter into education, but chose the
accounting field as my career choice. I graduated from the University of
Akron with a degree in Industrial Accounting and ventured into the business
world. I was blessed to have met and married my beautiful wife, Amy, and
again blessed with three fantastic children - Allison, Brandon, and Andrew.
Not long into my accounting career, I had a desire and passion to enter into
education where hopefully I could make a positive impact on the future of
our world through educating the young people of today and serving as a
positive role model in and outside the classroom. That passion grew even
stronger as my children began to grow. After 10 years in the accounting
field, I returned to Ashland University and completed the coursework
required to earn my Middle Grades (4-9) Social Studies and Language Arts
teaching certification, and received my Masters degree in Education in
the fall of 2008! Hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and a little craziness
has led me to this point in my life...and it is truly awesome! I still
dabble in accounting because I never want to turn my back on those who have
given me the opportunity to chase my dreams and realize my goals. It's all
about paying back while also paying forward! Now I am living one of my
favorite quotes of all time - "If you like what you do, you'll never work a
day in your life."

Mission For The Class

Together we will work hard, be successful, and do so by respecting and
helping one another.
