King's Island 2009

On Saturday May 9, 2009 The PHS and PJHS Band Students will join forces to again participate in the Music Showcase Festival held in conjunction with King's Island amusement park. We will competing in the following categories: Concert Band, Jazz Band and Parade Review.

This year each student is being asked to contribute $20 towards their fee for this event (which means the Band Boosters will be picking up the other $42!) and any adult that also wishes to attend will be responsible for their own transportation, and if they want us to arrange their tickets (which includes a meal) needs to have their fee in the amount of $42 turned in when they turn in that of their students.

Permission Forms and Fees are due by: Monday, April 6, 2009!

We have been very successful in our dealings with the Music Showcase Festivals we have attended. Since 2005, while competing in the Music Showcase Competitions (Toronto 2005, Chicago 2007, King's Island 2008) the Portsmouth's Band program has won the following honors:
