Morning arrival:
· Please pull all the way up to the front of the 10 car area, and wait until 8:25am before letting your child(ren) out. Staff is out there, signaling when it’s time to come in the building.
· If your son/daughter is having breakfast, he/she can exit the car and enter the building and report directly to the cafeteria to begin eating BEGINNING AT 8:10am.
· If you are sitting in the 11th spot, and see cars moving after unloading, please move all the way up to the beginning slot, so the next 9 cars behind you can safely unload their child(ren) too.
· Our school day begins at 8:45am. Our back doors close at 8:45am.
· If you are late, please USE RUSHWOOD LANE BEGINNING at 8:45am to enter Rushwood. You will need to come into the building and sign your son/daughter in to school.
Dismissal:
· Please ONLY MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN INTO RUSHWOOD’s lot off of NESBITT. I know this doesn’t make everyone happy, but it IS WORKING, and IT IS KEEPING EVERYONE SAFE and ORGANIZED. DO NOT DRIVE UP THE EXIT LANE during our dismissal process.
· Please make sure you are NOT BLOCKING DRIVES of community members who reside on Nesbitt Lane.
· We are able to fit 10 vehicles in the line-up at one time to safely load your child(ren).
· You will notice that we are carrying walkie-talkies and walking the line of cars in our lot prior to 3:15pm. (And, thank you for holding up your cards to make it easier for us to read.) What we are doing is calling in to the office cars in order of the line, in groups of 10 at a time. Our first call to students is occurring at 3:13pm. Those first 10 cars of children are being called on the PA and students are moving to the exit doors right at 3:15pm.
· Students are loaded into those vehicles and as those students are loaded, we are pushing out the line, and then bringing in the next 10 vehicles (which have already been called over the PA—the next wave of students are coming out the doors looking for you!)
· Please observe the person holding the stop sign to signal when it is time to move the next wave of vehicles.

· Those of you who HAVE to get to a doctor’s appointment, etc, PLEASE check into the main office NO LATER than 3:00pm.
· YOU MAY USE RUSHWOOD LANE TO DO THIS.
· We are not letting cars into the front circle area between 3:10-3:45 to allow for busses and day care transportation to maneuver vehicles.
· So PLEASE, if you need to take your child somewhere early, get to the main office NO LATER than 3:00pm.
· If this is a necessity, please call in advance, so we can get your child ready for his/her appointment.
· If waiting in line is why you have previously elected to not ‘wait’—my suggestion is that you plan to arrive at RW around 3:25pm. The line is minimal at that time.
The main office door will be closed beginning at 3:00 until the last bus and last of the parent-pick up line has been called. This process, to make it run smoothly, takes all of the staff’s undivided attention.
· After 3:45pm, Rushwood Lane will be accessible for parents again for those occasional times you’ve gotten home and realized your son/daughter has forgot something at school, and you need to come back to pick it up.
