Hello, friends. We have a short week ahead of us with an upcoming 5 day
break for Thanksgiving. (I think students & teachers alike are excited for
a break.
) The
U.C. Bearcats have a weekend off to prepare for an ending
to a possible perfect season.
Elder takes on Anderson in round #3 of the
playoffs. Many other good games are on tap as well...Consider voting in our
new Poll of the Week.

6th Grade:
-We just finished our studies of the Medieval Times/Middle Ages. Ch5 Test
(Celebration) scores are on Power School.
-Please be patient while I grade the creative writing assignments over the
Thanksgiving Break. (I have 102 essays to grade.)
-I would like to remind students that when they are absent, please check our
daily homework page for updates & check in with me when you return. It is
the student's responsibility. Sickness will happen, but it is important to check
in with the teachers upon returning.
-"This Day in History" video clips continue to be a popular part of our class.
8th Grade:
-On Thursday, students just submitted their persuasive reflections on some
current event issues. (My 1st period class, 8.1, is already posted on Power
School. I'm working on my other class now...)
-I hope all students felt confident about their high school placement tests.
Mr. Reilly came into class Friday to share some words of wisdom & answer
any questions. I think our students are well-prepared.
-We will soon enter the 20th century in our studies!
