May 21, 2012
I want to thank those who have been faithful readers of this weekly
e-newsletter. This is the 33rd and the last "official" update. Overall,
it's been a great year in room 308 for 6th and 8th grade Social Studies.
I know I feel blessed to come to "work" every day. Hopefully, I'll get a
chance to chat with you at some of the end of year events like I-Walk,
Health Fair, Olympic Day, Graduation, or the final Mass on June 7th...
Sincerely,
Mr. Renner
P.S. This week's music has a
Beatles connection: "Julian"
Lennon...
6th Grade: -Power School is current. I'll accept missing homework assignments until
Thursday of this week.
https://saintignatius.powerschool.com/public/home.html -Our last Test will be Thursday, May 24th. This Test will cover Columbia,
Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, and Chile.
-We have accomplished everything on the Social Studies agenda for this
school year: History, Geography, Map Skills, and Junior Scholastic. It's a
real good feeling.
8th Grade:
-Final Exam scores are on Power School. I was really pleased with the
results.
-This week, we're finishing up with some map skills work and Junior
Scholastic magazines.
-Did you know that Cincinnati once hosted a Presidential National
Convention? Read all about it here ...

-I-Walk is this coming Friday. It is also a "Spirit Day". Students should
bring a water bottle and make sure they have their name tag here at
school.
(They use it to keep track of laps/miles). 6th Grade won't be walking
until the afternoon, so we'll have classes in the A.M.
-Who will win the 6th grade penny war ???
