I grew up in Delhi and attended St. Dominic School for 1st through 4th
grade. My family then moved to Bridgetown in the middle of my fourth grade
year and I attended Our Lady of Visitation for 4th through 8th grade. I
graduated from Mother of Mercy High School and continued on to Northern
Kentucky University where I graudated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Education and a concentration in English. I also just finished up at Xavier
Univeristy and obtained my Master's in Education/Administration.
I am living in Cleves with my husband Bryan, daughter Mya (4 years old), my
son, Cole (3 years), my son, COllin (5 months)and dog.
This is my eleventh year teaching at St. Al's and I have had a wonderful
experience thus far.
I want my students to walk away with a love for learning, of all subjects.
I want students to use everyday experiences and hands-on activities to guide
them through their learning. I strongly believe that if they can make a
connection between their life and what they are learning, that information
will be learned at a quicker rate. I want my students to have an easy
transition to and be completely prepared for first grade.
The goal of the kindergarten program is to provide an environment where a
five- year-old can feel secure while enjoying the challenge of learning new
skills.
