October 13, 2009 It certainly has been forever since I did see you. Please
remember that we are doing the presentations starting Wednesday. Vocabulary
stories will be due Wednesday, the 14th if you have them, or on Thursday,
the
15th. Not later thatn Thursday though. Then we will have a vocabualry test
on Friday. I hope you have been reading AR since you have had very little
homework due to the tests.
October 6, 2009 Homework outline: Vocabulary words and their definition
should be written in your reading notebook and now add the synonyms,
antonyms
and parts of speech from the paper I gave you today. I will check this the
next time we have class, which will be either Monday or Tuesday of next
week. The vocabulary story based on these words is due on Tuesday and your
reading log as usual is due to be handed in on Monday. You need to be
reading your AR. I will also give you questions to answer on chapters 4 and
5 in the book That was Then This is Now. We have completed chapter 4 so you
will need to finish chapter 5 on your own. Please keep working on this
through till next week.
October 5, 2009 I am not sure when you will have reading again, but I am
hoping we will have a class tomorrow. We will present the power points.
Then I will give you the paper for the synonyms, antonyms and parts of
speech. These need to be written in your reading notebook by Wednesday,
whether we have class or not, I will collect them to look them over to make
sure you did them. Then the vocabulary story is due next Tuesday, I can
collect it even if we do not have class and then the Vocabulary test is next
Thursday, OCtober 15th. I will also require you to read over the break and
write a summary of the chapter or chapters you will read. Reading Logs are
due next Monday as usual. Some of you are really behind on these!!!

you. I expect the newspaper articles and the paper to be typed and edited
making sure there is correct spelling and grammar. Also make sure that you
edit your power point before making your presentation. Editing errors will
