THuirsday: September 8: Homework: Study for vocabulary test on Friday.
Wednesday, September 7: Homework: Write a sentence in your reading notebook
for each of your vocabulary words. Study as you do this. Vocabulary test is
on Friday
Tuesday, September 6: Homework: Using the paper I gave you today with your
vocabulary words find a synonym and antonym for each vocabulary word, write
thse on the line so you can study them. STudy as you do this. Vocabulary
test is on Friday.
Thursday: September 1, 2011: GRADE 7 HOMEWORK FOR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 1,
2011
Using your notes on the paper I gave you on character and characterization,
write a character sketch for Ponyboy, Soda Pop, Darry and Dally. Each one
should be a paragraph long,, which is 3-5 sentences. Write the paragraphs
in your reading notebook. I was going to model a paragraph using the
character Steve, but behavior was such that we did not get to that. You need
to come prepared to class! Please get all papers that were supposed to
signed a week ago signed.
Wednesday, August 31: Read AR for 30 minutes, encourage your parents to come
to the "Meet the Teacher" night and learn your schedule.
Tuesday, August 30th: HOmework: vocabulary worksheets are due Wednesday,
just a reminder please finish them. Read 30 minutes for AR.
Monday, August 29th: Homework: Vocabulary worksheets are due on Wednesday,
read AR for 30 minutes. Please remember to get your quiz signed and make
sure you correct it and staple the corrections to the original quiz and hand
it in tomorrow.
Thursday, August 25th: PLease have the two papers related to AR and reading
logs signed ASAP and return to school. Remember the first reading log is due
on Tuesday, September 6th. You must show me your AR book by next Wednesday,
September 1. You can start reading your AR book ASAP. Remember read 20-30
minutes each night!
