Mission
St. Clement Physical Education is more than running, calisthenics, or sport. It is a total movement experience that focuses on fun, involvement, character, self-esteem, health and fitness, and total well-being for our students. It is an essential part of every day to live long healthy lives. St. Clement PE students will: * be given the opportunity to learn and be successful * be encouraged to try new activities * be challenged to reach their full potential in all activities * be provided a positive and safe learning environment * be taught a variety of activities that make physical education class fun and enjoyable * be encouraged to display honesty, integrity and good sportsmanship * be guided into becoming skillful and confident movers * be provided with specific constructive feedback in working toward skill mastery * be provided with team building skills and cooperative activities to promote social growth Units of study *Movement Concepts and Dance *Locomotor skills *Fitness activities *Chasing, fleeing, dodging *Manipulative skills (throwing, catching, kicking, striking, dribbling) *Volleying *Dribbling and ball handling *Organized games *Lifetime skills
