This week in class, Kindergarten is working on the following skills:
Letters Y,y and Z,z--we will focus mostly on just the beginning sound of each of these letters.
We have now worked on EVERY letter of the alphabet. The final few weeks of school will be a lot of review of all letters and their sounds. We will spend a little time on digraphs and long vowel sounds.
We have now covered ALL the vowels! Students should be able to sound out c-v-c words containing all 5 vowels.
Reviewing all Star Words
Reading the new Star Words "of, out, then"
Math: Chapter 8: Subtraction Readiness
Science/Social Studies: Fish and other animals that live in the water
Religion: "The Holy Family"
