FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to
common questions of students and parents.
  1. Is it important that I do corrections on my math homework?
  2. Are there any particular days that tests are given?
  3. How can I help my student study for a math test or quiz?

Is it important that I do corrections on my math homework?

I feel that it isimportant that you do corrections
because it reinforces any
reteaching that has occurred after we correct the
homework in class. This
is also my extra credit work. You would be wise to
take advantage of these
extra points to help raise your average.

Are there any particular days that tests are given?

Every week unless told differently, the seventh
grade will have their
spelling tests once a week and their vocabulary
tests every other Friday. Any other
tests will be given at the discretion of the
teacher with a two day
warning. Please take note that if we are coming to
the end of a chaper or
unit, there will be a test given fairly soon.

How can I help my student study for a math test or quiz?

Besides using the chapter reviews at the end of
each chapter, Prentice Hall
has a web site that will provide questions for each
section or chapter with
multiple choice answers. It will provide immediate
self correction. This
is a great resource. www.PHSchool.com/Math Choose
the correct textbook.
