Grade 8 -- Pictures for Memory Book
     Pictures for Collage
     At least 20 single words or 2-word phrases that reflect your time 
     at SMS -- these words may be any part of speech -- these words my 
     be hand-written.  We will type them on Thursday.  
     Original/Unique Title for Collage


Grade 7 -- All corrections to Confirmation paragraphs.

Grade 6 -- NO HOMEWORK!!

It certainly does not feel like spring!

Grade 6 students continue to stay after school to practice their Native 
American projects with their group using the SMARTBoard.

Grade 6 will begin the computer part of their Fable project that they are 
doing with their Grade 2 buddies.

Grade 7 students are working on the Confirmation projects.  The students have 
done a stupendous job on this project.

Grade 8 students need to bring in pictures for the Memory Book, and they need 
to bring in pictures for their collages.

Welcome Back!  I hope your break was refreshing!

Grade 6 is finishing their Native American slides.  Each group had scheduled 
a time to stay after school to practice.

Grade 7 is working on a Confirmation project. 

Grade 8 is working on several special projects.

Have a Blessed Easter Season and a Wonderful, Relaxing, Fun Spring Break!

Students that are missing class on Thursday, April 5th, have been given their 
assignments for that day.  

Grade 8 - Bring in Pictures for Collage on April 16th.  
Grade 7 - Rough drafts of Saint/Confirmation Project due April 16th.
Grade 6 - ALL Slides and Research for Native American Project completed/due 
April 16th.

Grade 6 -- All Native American slides are due by spring break.

There IS Keyboarding Club this Monday.  There is Keyboarding Club EVERY day 
this week.  There are only 8 days remaining, so please attend as often as 
possible.  Everyone is doing a fantastic job!  Keep up the great effort!

Grade 8 Parents, please send in baby pictures and pictures of school 
functions from the past 9 years.  Thank you!

Keyboarding Club begins Tuesday, February 7th.  There is no Keyboarding Club 
on Wednesday due to a faculty meeting.  We will meet again on Thursday and 
Friday.

ALL recordings must be finished by 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon. 

Students may stay after to work on projects on Monday, but they will not be 
able to record after school on Monday.

Students may stay after on Tuesday to work on projects and record.

Students may not stay after school on Wednesday.

Eighth Grade Culture Projects are to be completed by Friday, January 13.

Seventh Grade has 3 projects to be completed by Friday, January 13.  The 3 
projects are fixed Digital Stories, Concrete Poems, and CD Covers for their 
Digital Story.

Grade Six students must have graphs and corrected clothing essays finished by 
Friday, January 13.  The completed, decorated projects are not yet due.

Only 10 days until Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was a very exciting day!!  The sixth graders added music to their 
movies.  After much work, they turned their filmstrips into movies!!

Grade 7 is working very hard on their stories and concrete poems.

Grade 8 continues to work on their PSAs, their culture projects, and their 
special project.

Most projects are due before Christmas.  Students who are not finsihed, need 
to plan to stay after school today, Friday or Monday.  Students may also come 
in before school any of those days.  Students may also come in before school 
on Tuesday.

Students continue to come to the lab in the morning to work on keyboarding 
skills and to receive individual assistance.  Keep up the great work and the 
enthusiasm and effort!!

Grade 8 is working on a top secret project.  Please be sure your PSAs and the 
first part of your culture project are finished before Christmas.

Grade 7 is working on finishing their digital stories, and they are working 
on their concrete poems.

Grade 6 is working on their autobiographical poems.  All pictures should be 
in and the words should be on all of their pictures.  If any students is 
feeling behind or needs extra help, please feel free to come before school or 
stay after school.  Now is a great time for individual help.

There is a faculty meeting next Wednesday and a program at XU on Thursday 
that the teachers are attending, so these are not good days to stay after

It is wonderful to see how many students are coming in the morning to 
practice keyboarding.  Keep up the enthusiasm and effort!

Grade 8 Stock Market permission forms should be brought in on Monday.  Thank 
you!

Grade 8 is doing a fabulous job creating their PSAs!  It is so rewarding to 
watch them work.

Grade 7 needs to have all pictures from home for their digital stories
brought in for Thursday's class.

6P color-coded their note cards for paragraphs, and they wrote their 
paragraphs on Islamic Art.  These will be finished and printed in draft on 
Thursday.  If you are in 6P and you missed Monday's class, please see Mrs. 
Buehler before Thursday's class.

6M broke down the main topics for their Islamic Art paragraphs.  They color-
coded their notes and note crads, put them in order and numbered them to be 
ready to write their paragraphs on Thursday.  If you are in 6M and you missed 
Monday's class, please be sure to see Mrs. Buehler before Thursday's class.  
Also, please be sure to copy a classmate's notes from class to help you 
organize your paragraphs.

Students may borrow video cameras to tape footage for their PSAs.  This 
coming weekend may be a good weekend to do that since it will be a 3-day

I will see parents at Back-to-School Night this Wednesday!  Parent 
inventories for grades 6 and new students are due this Thursday.  Any student 
that has not turned in an AUP must do so by this Thursday.

Keyboarding Club begins Monday, Sept. 12.  I will offer another session

I will again offer The Stock Market Game for those students in grade 8 who 
are interested.  More details will follow.

Today was a great day!  

Students received Interest Inventories and AUPs.  AUPs and student 
inventories are due this Thursday, September 1.  Parent inventories for new 
students and grade six students are due next Thursday, September 8.
