Students in grade 2 are hoping to grow 3 marigold plants each. We have
numbered them and will watch them grow for five weeks. Each week we will
record how tall they grow.
Then we will use Microsoft Excel to make a graph showing our plants’ growth.
We will be using line graphs, because line graphs show change over time.
Students will type their data into an excel spreadsheet. Then we will
highlight the data and create a line graph. We will format the graph, add a
title and our name. We will talk about cells on a spreadsheet and cell
addresses.
Finally we will print our graphs and hang them up in the hall for you to
see. Wow! Will we learn a lot!
