We will send Stanley out in December.
Flat Stanley Project
The Second Grade has just finished the book Flat Stanley by Jeff
Brown. The book is about a boy named Stanley. He wakes up one morning to
find that his bulletin board has fallen on him, making him flat. He has
many adventures while being flat, one is being mailed to a friend because it
is cheaper than an airplane ticket.
The Second Grade is going to send Flat Stanley to a relative or
friend out of state. Please fill in the bottom of this paper as soon as
possible and send it back to school. We will mail the letters on Monday.
In the letter, the students will tell some things about Columbus and some
things Stanley did while he was here with us. The recipient of their letter
will answer back with some of the same information about their town and
adventures they had with Stanley.
It is probably a good idea to call or e-mail the recipient to let
them know that Stanley is coming. Also, let them know we need Stanley back
by April 30th . If you have any questions, please feel free to stop in
after school or call after school. We will display a map of where Stanley
has traveled and the letters by the Library.
