We use the STAR Testing Program along with the Accelerated Reading Program to
help us guide the students to the reading level best for each individual.
All students in grades 2 thru 8 will be given the STAR test the week before
library classes begin. They are then given a suggested reading range that
will work best for them to improve their reading skills,and so that they will
see success when taking AR tests.
STAR tests are given in the AR room several times through out the school year
so we can check for improvement or if extra help needs to be given, to help a
students with their reading.
Students in grade 1 will be given the STAR test in December, and will begin
taking AR tests in January.
