Simple-Solutions-list-2012.docFourth grade Math is not just computation, but includes all 5 strands of

Spatial Sense Strand; Data Analysis Strand; Measurement Strand; and Problem
Solving, Patterns, Functions, Algebra, and Probability Strand.
Dear Fourth Grade Parents:
As you may know that each fourth grader received a Simple Solutions
workbook. This workbook will give them the opportunity to practice skills
they have learned in previous grades as well as their current grade. I hope
that by practicing these skills each day, they will gain confidence in their
math ability.
For the 2011-2012 school year, I expect all group 1 fourth grader to complete
3 full lessons a week and group 2 students to complete 2 lessons a week.
Some classes will try to reach a goal of 5 lessons a week as
we move into the year.
Each week they will receive an answer key (worksheet) because the workbooks
may not be written in and they will hand in the lessons for the week on each
Friday. We will grade and talk about each problem every Friday.
Please encourage your child to work each night on a couple of problems and
not to work the night before the lessons are due.
If you have any questions, please email me. I believe that Simple Solutions
will help your child with their overall math skills and not limit them to one
particular skill.
