This is my sixth year as an intervention specialist with Stranahan
Elementary. I earned a Master's degree from the University of Toledo in
Special Education in 2009. I was born and raised in the Pocanoes of
Pennsylvania. I am a coal miner's daughter! I am a part time instructor at
UT also. I met my husband Dave when we were in second grade. We have been
married for twenty one years. My husband eagerly sells bottles and caps to
companies. We have three wonderful children, Dave, Roberta and Ben. Dave is
a 2010 graduate of Sylvania Schools. He works at the Kroger on Monroe
Street as a cashier and attends Owens Community College. He is
also a member of the Sylvania Community Orchestra. Dave plays the cello,
bass and guitar. Ben and Roberta are Sophomores, attending Northview High
School. Ben is quite an amazing artist. He enjoys taking art lessons at For
the Love of Art, in Sylvania. He sketched a piece that was auctioned off in
Columbus in October, 2010. He has been commissioned to create works of art as
well. Roberta throws discus and shot put for Sylvania's Northview
track team. She enjoys volunteering and babysitting the neighborhood
kids. We have two adorable dogs, Nigel and Trevor.
