What do I do for a change in my child's transportation?

Please fill out one of the yellow slips I sent home at the
beginning of the school year or send in a note. This will tell me
either who is picking the student up or what bus he/she is taking
home!

What do I do if my child is sick or will not be coming to school?

Please call the office as soon as you know. This way the school
will not call you and I will know ahead of time that your child
will not be in school for the day. Also, when your child returns
to school please send in a note for the reason of his/her
abscence.

What homework will my child have to complete?

Mrs. Whitcomb sends home special assignments from time to time.
Math homework will be sent home about once a week. It will
usually come home on blue paper so it is easy to spot! The due
date will always be placed at the top.

What foods should be sent in for snack?

We want to promote making healthy choices from the beginning so
we ask that afternoon snacks not be sugary or chocolate.
Here are some ideas:

granola bars
fruit
veggies
popcorn
yogurt
crackers
pretzels

How as a parent can I help?

I love having help!

Whether you want to help inside or outside of the classroom I can
use your help! I use parent volunteers either to help one on one
with students, with special projects that are sent home, baking
for special classroom events, or purchasing fun items to be used
during parties or centers.
