I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University, with undergraduate degrees
in Elementary Education and Special Education, and Masters degrees in Special
Education and Reading. I have earned the National Board Certified Teacher
distinction. I live on a farm with my husband. We grow corn, soybeans, and
wheat. We also have 1000 pigs. In my spare time I like to
travel and read. I am very committed to providing your child with the best
possible school experience. It is going to be a great year!
I understand that your child comes to school with unique experiences,
interests and learning styles. My goal is to truly know your child well and
use this knowledge to guide, support and motivate him or her. I strive to use
innovative, best practice instruction strategies. I use daily, imbedded
evaluation strategies to guide my daily instruction. I believe that good
teaching requires continual professional development, personal reflection and
collaboration. I value parent involvement and encourage you to partner with
me to give your child the most powerful and joyous learning experience
possible.
