Parents and students are always curious about a new teacher. I would like to
share a little about myself and my family so you know who I am.
I have been a teacher at Central Elementary for over thirty years. I have
taught first, second and third grade throughout my career. One of the things
I am passionate about is technology. In 2001, I received my Masters Degree
in Classroom Technology from Bowling Green State University.
My family is very important to me. My husband, Ken, and I have been married
for thirty years. We have three lovely daughters. Our oldest, Liz, is
married, lives in Cincinnati and is an Occupational Therapist. She blessed us
this summer with our first grand child. Delaney Rose was born June 9, 2009.
She is beautiful and we see her as often as we can! Our middle
daughter, Ashley lives with her husband in Cleveland Ohio, where she is a
Child Life Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic. She and her husband have
recently welcomed their first child - Colton David. Finally, our youngest
daughter, Jenna is living in the City of Brotherly Love - Philadelphia. She
is working hard and enjoying life in the big city! We are so very proud of
each one of them. Finally, we have one last child at home - our dog Lucy.
She is a happy, playful dog who enjoys going for walks and spending time at
with her friends! We all enjoy her so much.
There are many things that I enjoy doing - besides teaching. Reading,
sewing, quilting and spending time at the lake are among my favorite
pasttimes.
