PSAT


The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test -- PSAT will be given at Northview
on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 during periods 1 - 4.

The PSAT measures verbal and mathmatical reasoning abilities--skills that are
important for success in college. Taking the test enables the student to:  1) Practice
for the SAT I Reasoning test;  2) Enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation
competition;  3) Seek informatin from colleges;  4) Receive feedback about critical
academic skills.

This test is recommended but not required for juniors. Sophomores may take the test
but the scores will not count in any competition or college screening processes.


Cost: $14.00
Make check payable to Northview High School
Bring check to the Guidance Office secretary to register

Registration begins Monday, October 1, 2012
Registration ends Wednesday, October 12, 2012
