This is my sixth year of teaching at the Trumbull Career and
Technical Center. I received my undergraduate degree in communications
and secondary education from Hiram College, my English teaching
certification from Wright State University and my master's degree in
curriculum and instruction from Walden University. I also became Nationally
Board Certified in November. This is pretty exciting and means I can teach
anywhere within the United States. My daughter wants to move to Hawaii, but
I think you are all stuck with me here...
I am married with two girls - Ella and Lily. Ella is 10 years old and is in
the fifth grade and Lily is 7 and in second grade. They keep me busy with
their soccer, softball and basketball! Besides driving my kids around, I
enjoy shopping, reading, camping and going out on my boat.
I absolutely love teaching and take great pride in what I do. I am looking
forward to getting to know each of you and learning new things right along
with you...
My mission for this class is to help all my students become independent
thinkers. I want them to be confident in their abilities to learn and
think "outside the box". I want students to challenge themselves and to try
new ways of doing things to grow academically and personally.
