I have been teaching music for over 19 years and still love it as much as I
did when I first started. I taught for 11 years at St. John Central before
moving to Warren. As a former graduate of this school system I firmly
believe in its' educational successes and will strive to always do my best
for the students at Warren Elementary.
The objectives for the General Music classes include studying the five
elements of music (rhythm, melody, harmoy, tone color and form) and music
history through reading, writing and performing.
The purpose of Band, Handbells and Chorus is to develp and continue to
develop the fundamental performance skills including note reading, technique
and rhythm; to demonstrate an understanding of a variety of ensemble concepts
including balance, blend, melody and accompaniment; to use a variety of
dynamics, articulations and styles to convey expression through music.
