Am I allowed to eat in here?
School policy does not permit me to allow you to eat in class. Please do not
be offended if you see me drinking coffee; I am an adult, and this is my work
environment. When you are an adult, you will undoubtedly have more freedom.
Do you have a final exam?
Yes! It is also comprehensive, so keep all of your notes. You will need to study!
Can I put my head down on my desk?
Absolutely not. If you have free time, then read your novel. If you forgot
to bring your novel, then you are more than welcome to study for another
class.
Sleeping, however, is not an option.
Do I have to read aloud?
There will be times when that will be part of the requirements for an
assignment. However, I do not usually force students to read aloud.
Can I leave a minute early because my class is on the third floor?
No. I, not the bell, dismiss you. You may leave as soon as I have released
your class.
What happens if I get a yellow ticket?
Yellow tickets are given for minor offenses. You will leave the room silently
and report to room 2124. You will sit with a principal for the remainder
of the period, and you will receive a zero for all work that day. When you
return to my class, you start with a clean slate.
If, however, you begin to back talk me after receiving the yellow ticket, it
automatically turns red.
What happens if I get a red ticket?
Red tickets are given for major offenses, such as profanity or threats. You
will most likely receive a day of ISI, depending on the next tier on your
personal disciplinary card.
Can I have a bonus point assignment to make up for a bad grade?
No. Your bonus points are your passes. If you choose not to use a pass, then
I will add 6% to your final average.
