PARENTS: You should receive a newsletter every month. It will include your
child's grade, attendance, and tardies in addition to my lesson plans. Please
ask your child for this document; it is worth a daily grade.
EXCESSIVE TARDINESS: I keep track of tardies. Get to class on time!
Please stay organized and time your visits to the locker so that you are not
late to English. If you find that you ARE late, do not knock on the door and
interrupt class; go directly to room 2124 and get a tardy pass.
BONUS POINT OPPORTUNITY: Please bring in a box of kleenex or lotion. Travel
sizes are cute but not quite big enough for our class to share. :o) You will
receive ten bonus points per item (limit of 3 per quarter). Go to the dollar
store; we don't need name brands. Thanks so much!
Come to class prepared to learn! You need a pen/pencil and paper every day.
You will also need to bring your novel for the Accelerated Reader Program. You
will not need to bring your text every day, but you WILL need to remember to
bring it when I ask you to do so.
If you fail to bring a pen/pencil to class, you will receive a small golf
pencil and a zero for your class participation grade. This will also happen
if I hear you ask someone else for a pen/pencil.
