How do I print a document ?

File--> PRINT --> OK

All students have the AR printer as their default. This prints to the Lab.

How do I get an image from the Internet into my document?

1. Find your image.
2. Right click on the image
3. Left click on COPY. NOTE: If COPY does not appear, you may not be able to 
copy that image. Find another.
4. Go back to your document
5. Right click on the document
6. Left click on PASTE

I want to move my image in my document. Why can't I?

You need to format the image.

1. Left click on the image. It will have boxes or handles all around it.
2. Right click on the image.
3. Left click on FORMAT PICTURE (or FORMAT IMAGE)
4. Click on the LAYOUT tab
5. Click on TIGHT and then OK
You should be able to move the picture around as you wish.

How do I get an image from PAINT into my Word document?

1. After you have created the image in Paint, Click on EDIT-->Select All
2. Then Click on EDIT-->COPY (left clicking doesn't work in Paint)
3. Open your Word document
4. Click on EDIT--> Paste (or use another method of pasting that you know!)

If you want to be able to move the image around, check out the answer to 
Question 3 above.

How do I double space in Word?

1. Click on FORMAT-->Paragraph
2. Be sure you are on the Indents and Spacing tab
3. Find the Spacing section--3 section down
4. Find LINE SPACING. Use the drop-down box to select DOUBLE

How do I center text in Word?

Do not use the space bar or the tab button!

In the FORMATTING toolbar, click the button for centering.

Note: If you want the rest of your text to be left-justified, hit the ENTER 
key to get to the next line before clicking the LEFT JUSTIFY button on the 
FORMATTING toolbar

Can I add other sounds to a PowerPoint presentation?

Yes. With your teacher's permission, search for the sound or music you want 
that is in wav format. Right click on the wav file when you find it and 
click 
on "Save target as". Save it to a place where you will be able to find it. 
Click on Slide Show-->Custom Animation. After you choose an animation for 
the 
element on the effects tab, choose "other sound" at the bottom of the list. 
Find the wav file and click OK.

How do I play music over several slides in PowerPoint?

1. Complete all the slides. Animate them as you wish.
2. With your teacher's permission, find a music file that is appropriate for 
school and for the assignment.
3. Save the file in your My Music folder by right clicking on the file and 
choosing "Save Target As"
4. Click on the slide in your presentation where the music should begin.
5. Click on Insert-->Movies and Sounds-->Sound From File
6. Find your file, click OK
7. Choose "Automatically" (this seems to work best)
Your music will now be heard on one slide. To allow the music to continue
8.Click on Slide Show--Custom Animations
9. Find your music file on the panel on the right. Click on the drop down box
10. Choose Effect Options
11. Choose Start Playing from Beginning
12. Choose Stop Playing After (you choose using the dropdown box) slides

How do I get my PowerPoint presentation to play continuously?

1. Slideshow-->Rehearse Timings. This is best if your slides need various 
transition times

OR

1. Slide Show-->Slide Transitions--> Advance Slide Automatically After (you 
choose the seconds). 7-10 work best for photos. With text, you might need 
longer. Then click APPLY TO ALL SLIDES
NOTE: On this same panel, you may choose Random Transitions in that top box. 
This will allow PPT to choose the transitions for your sides.

On to the LOOPING:

2. Slideshow-->Set up show-->Show Options-->Loop continuously until ESC

Note: If you have animations on each slide, you will need to do the 
following: 
Click on Slideshow-->Custom animation.
Click on the dropdown box to the right of your first animation
Choose "Start with previous"
Click on the dropdown box to the right of your second animation
Choose "Start after previous"
Choose "Start after previous" for all subsequent animations

What can I do if I want to watch a PowerPoint presentation but don't have PPT?

Use PowerPoint Viewer. It's a free, safe download from microsoft:
