What kind of computers does your school use?
We have a mix of computers. In our computer lab we are using Lenovo computers with 150 GB Hard Drives, 3 GHx, running WinXP SP3, purchased in 2010. All computers are networked to our Xerox Laser color printer. We have a Promethean ActivBoard, three new Samsung cameras and 5 microphones for creating multimedia projects. All students use their own headphones. In our classrooms we are
using Dell Dimension 4600's, purchased in 2003. These computers
are also Windows XP computers. There are also a few remaining iMacs
floating around in some of our classrooms.
How often do you replace the computers?
The computers are replaced every 3 - 4 years. When new computers are
purchased for the lab, the old lab computers go into the classrooms.
What kind of productivitiy software do you use?
We use Microsoft Office Suite for XP. This includes: Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Publisher, and Access.
What other kinds of software do you have?

Do you have internet access in all the classrooms?
All classrooms and offices in our building have high speed internet access.
There are several points of internet access in each classroom, and in the
library.
What kind of Internet Service does your school use?
We use a T-1 Line and our service is contracted through the
Hamilton/Clermont County Cooperative Association.
How can you ensure my child is not using inappropriate web sites?
We are fortunate that HCCA is able to block and filter most of the
inappropriate things on the web. They are always adding to their list! In
addition, I am able to observe what is happening on each desktop from my own
computer. Finally, our own school server limits access to many programs.
While every effort is taken to ensure against inappropriate
content viewing, obviously there may be occasions where we are not
successful. At these times disciplinary action will be taken against the
responsible parties. For more information please refer to your Internet
Responsible Use Policy, given to each student at the beginning of the school
year.
