Mr. Irons has taught in the Oklahoma City Public School for over 30
years. He received his Undergraduate degree from Langston University and
his Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma. His first
teaching assignment was at Central Innovative High School in OKC. Mr. Irons
has spent 17 years teaching MS Band and 17 years teaching HS Band. He also
taught MS strings for 16 years.
Mr. Irons has two children, Regina and Jeremy, who are past graduates of
Classen SAS like their DAD (of course is was just Classen High School then).
Regina is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma and Jeremy is a recent
graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. Regina is the Orchestra
director at Western Oaks MS in the Putnam City school district. His lovely
wife of 35 years is Debra who recently retired from AT&T.

Mr. Irons is in his sixth year of teaching at Classen and since that
time, the HS Band has grown from 29 to 40 students. Mr. Irons has found
Classen to be a great place to teach outstanding students and meet
supportive parents.
