Mrs. Jackson - I am very happy to be the 5th grade Language Arts and math
teacher at Prairie Vale. I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful school
and team. We are going to be extremely busy with grammar, spelling, and
writing lessons throughout the year. One of the main challenges for fifth
grade students is preparing for the CRT writing test in February.
I began my teaching career at Lawton, Ok. I taught sixth grade for two
years and one year of fifth grade. I received my bachelor's degree from
East Central University in Ada, Ok.
The area of my life that I am most proud of is my wonderful family. My
husband, Tobin, is the youth minister at Quail Springs Baptist Church. We
have three sons; Reid, Blaine, and Kale. Reid and Blaine are college
students, and Kale is a high school student.
My e-mail address is jacksonl@deercreek.k12.ok.us.
Mrs. Kidd - Hello and welcome to fifth grade! My name is Kelli Kidd and I
teach Science, Math, and Technology at Deer Creek Prairie Vale. I am not
only a teacher in this wonderful district but a patron as well. My husband,
Don, and I live near Prairie Vale with our three children - Ryan, who is a
graduate of Deer Creek Schools, Aaron, who is a junior at Deer
Creek High School, and Hannah, who is a seventh grader at Prairie Vale. I
have lived in Oklahoma all my life, graduating from John Marshall High
School and The University of Central Oklahoma.
My teaching career includes ten years at Sequoyah Elementary School in
Oklahoma City where I taught second, third, and fourth grades. I spent five
years at home with my children and returned to teaching five years ago at
Prairie Vale.
I feel that I have truly been blessed with my teaching assignment here. To
actually be teaching my favorite subject to my favorite-aged students in
such an awesome district is a privilege. I look forward to taking on the
responsibility of inspiring every fifth grader to love the world of Science!
My e-mail address is kiddk@deercreek.k12.ok.us
Mrs. Parker - I am excited to have you in fifth grade this year! I am a
gradute of Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) with a bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education and have been teaching for fourteen years. This will
be my tenth year here at Prairie Vale. I teach all of the Social Studies /
Geography classes, plus one section of math. I love American history, and I
hope your child will enjoy learning in my class this year!
My husband Matt and I have two beautiful children: Cole, who is at
middle school this year, and Annabeth, who is in third grade here at PV.
I am looking forward to getting to know each one of you and having a
wonderful year at Prairie Vale. Please contact me at anytime throughout the
year with questions or concerns. My email address is:
parkerb@deercreek.k12.ok.us
Mrs. Schwiebert - Welcome to fifth grade! This is my 15th year at Prairie
Vale and my 20th year teaching. I will be teaching Reading this year to all
5th graders and I will be teaching 1 class of math. I am a National Board
Certified Teacher, a recipient of a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Teaching
Fellowship, a Fund for Teacher Fellowship recipient, and a former Deer Creek
District Teacher of the Year.
I am originally from Ohio, but I have also lived in Michigan and
Chicago, Illinois. My husband, Peter, and I have been for married 27 years
and we have 2 children - Kristin, who is a student in the Vet Tech program at
OSU/OKC and Matt, who graduated from Truman State University in
Kirksville, Missouri and is now gainfully employed and working in Kansas
City, Missouri!
I strongly believe that all children are born with special gifts. We
will be working this year to discover each child's strengths and learning
strategies that will work best for individual success. Please feel free to
contact me at any time via my email: schwiebertk@deercreek.k12.ok.us.
I am a Deer Creek Prairie Vale student.
I have great expectations for myself.
I accept the challenge to become the best that I can be.
