This is my nineteenth year teaching second grade at Deer Creek.
Prior to that I substituted and taught in Ohio. I graduated from Bowling
Green University in Ohio. My husband Craig is an engineer. We have been
married for 41 years and we have 4 children. Elisabeth is an attorney and
lives in Minnesota with her husband Karsten and their sons Lukas who’s
ten, Leif who’s almost eight, and Soren, almost four. Our son Joshua and
his wife, Diana, are both engineers. They have a son Caleb who’s almost seven
and a daughter Sarah who’s four. They live in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Meghan lives in Springfield, Illinois. She is an accountant for
Memorial Hospital. Our youngest daughter, Bethany, and her husband Drew
also live in Springfield, Illinois, with their four and one-half year old
son, Mike, two year old daughter, Annie, and two month old Callie. She’s a
speech and hearing therapist and her husband is a urology resident. Our
family is very important to us and we try to see them all often.
I enjoy reading, cooking, crocheting, and most of all working with
children. I like to share my interests with the children and learn about
theirs. Second graders are a wonderful age—very open to new experiences and
challenges. Their enthusiasm helps make this a great learning year!
