To give you a glimpse of who I am, I would like to share a little
about myself. I graduated from Southwewstern Oklahoma State University with
a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in May 1997. In the fall of
1998, I was employed by Enid Public Schools where I spent six of my nine
years of teaching. The other three years were spent at St. Joseph Catholic
School. This is my fifth year at Deer Creek Elementary! I am thrilled to be
teaching fourth grade math and science this year.
My family consists of my husband, Adam and three children, Jordan,
Isabel, and Garrick. Adam is the Field Controller for Great White Energy.
Jordan is a senior, Isabel is in the seventh grade, and Garrick is
in the fourth grade. All three of my kids are Deer Creek Antlers!
In my spare time I enjoy attending my children's activities, reading
and playing tennis. I also thoroughly enjoy learning. So any opportunity I
have to attend courses that further my education or activities that make me
think I will jump at the chance.
Your child is coming to my classroom as an unique individual with different
experiences, interests, backgrounds, learning styles, and dreams for the
future. In order to create a learning environment, which draws on the
strength of diversity and individuality I will turn to my Professional Code
of Ethics.
My vision is to be:
An understanding and caring person
To set high standards for myself as well as my students
To help eadch student to achieve their goals
To listen and act with a caring spirit that reflects love,
kindness, gentleness, goodness, patience and joy.
