I am one of the resource teachers with students from grades Kindergarten
through 5th. My teaching career started after I obtained a B.S. in
Elementary Education from Oklahoma Christian University. After teaching 12
years at Living Word Academy, a private school, I gained a Masters of
Learning Disabilities from U.C.O. With this degree, in 1991, I started my
16 years of teaching with McLoud Public Schools. During these years, I have
been privileged to teach children from Pre-K to High School. I love
teaching and enjoy the children here at Deer Creek Elementary.

In addition to teaching, family is very important to me. I have two grown
children: Lori, a Pre-K Teacher at Charles Haskell Elementary in Edmond and
Jason, and oilfield salesman in Oklahoma City. I also have five beautiful
grandchildren.

Mission For The Class

My mission is to help my students develop their potential by always doing
their best. I want to encourage them to work hard and always believe they
are a special individual.

One of my favorite quotes is by William Arthur Ward: If you can imagine it,
you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it. I strive to help
my students become what they want to be.
