Why should I study music?
I could give you correlations between music and testing scores, medical careers, collegiate success, and abstract reasoning, but here are some personal reasons I first think of:*to transmit culture of the past & develop culture of today*to express yourself in a way, related to, but outside of your core classes*to learn the power of music and its role in our society*to create beauty*to use both your imagination & logic- to healthily challenge yourself*to leave the world differently than you found it; to make a difference*to meet your potential: Everyone has potential in music that needs to be developed!*to enhance the quality of your & others' lives...give it a try!Back to Top
