The new lid is on the kiln, it did take some time to make it as I had never worked with those materials before. Fortunatley there were some people who did have knowledge about them and had some very good advice.  Right now I am in the process of curing the new lid out before I take it to full temperature. It may take two or three weeks to cure and we only have 5 working weeks in class.  It may mean that we do not get to use that kiln until next year.  I dont want to accidently blow the new lid up.  Why did I have to make it?  The Companies who make kilns will only make lids for there brand.  Only one person will and he is in Canada. Wow! The shipping charge was large!
