Deer Creek will have four Red Dirt League Teams in the summer (8th grade,
Freshman,
JV, and Varsity). The 8th grade season begins toward the end of May and
finishes toward the end of June. Try-outs take place in late April and
early May.
All to be 8th graders who are planning on playing spring baseball the
following year are strongly encouraged to try out for Red Dirt. Summer
league is used as a time to help improve the skills we teach at Deer
Creek. We would much rather players play for DC than a little league team
that is playing on shorter bases and a shorter mound. We also want them to
continue playing together to build our team unity. High school players
must try out as this is used for spring tryouts for next year.
