About the Teacher

DCHS students and parents,

This is my fourth year teaching in the Deer Creek school district. I spent my first two years at the middle school and loved it there, but I think our high school is just great too! I came over to the high school last year and worked exclusively with Freshmen and will be doing the same this year.

Before coming to Deer Creek, I taught at Cashion High School for eight years and before that, I worked in the banking industry for 20 years. I am certified in Special Education, U.S. History, Government, Geography, Oklahoma History and English. I have also completed registry training in Autism, OHI, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have three grown children and two little grandsons. We both graduated from Stillwater High School and Oklahoma State University. Our children have all attended there as well. We love OSU!

I teach one English I class, two Study Skills classes, and I work as an inclusion teacher in a Biology I and an Algebra I class daily. I also teach an Academic Enhancement class for non-IEP students.  My most important goal is to help my students be successful in all their classes and get off to a great start in high school!

Please e-mail me if you have any questions.
