„h Studied at Arrowmount School of the Arts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

My family is my biggest hobby! I am the mother of four very active children.
In the extra time I do find for myself I enjoy pursing additional hobbies.
„h For over 20 years, I have studied dance including ballet, tap, jazz,
modern and traditional Irish step dancing. Some of my instructors have
included Maria Tallchief, Bill Graham and Jean Ingram, all of Oklahoma City.I
also studied dance production at Oklahoma State University.
„h Outside of the classroom, I have created many of my own pieces using a mix
of media including watercolors, colored pencils, pastels and ink. I am a huge
fan of the Disney Corporation and worked for 10 years as castmember at the
Disney Store in Quail Springs Mall.
Personal Background:
I have been married for 36 years and have four children Candice, Meghan,
Carl and Hayley . Plus, one Labrador ( Duchess), a Chihuahua (Wilson) and
one cat ( Lorelei).
Candice is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and works for the
Oklahoma City Zoo in public relations.. My daughter Meghan is a Deer Creek
graduate and is attending OSU. My son Carl is a graduate of Deer Creek High
and is DOD firefighter for Cherrypoint NC. Hayley is a Deer Creek graduate
and an OSU graduate now working for Macys with her degree in Fashion Design.
My husband served in the Navy for 20 years, so I have had opportunity to
travel over-seas and throughout Euope and the United States. I was born
in Louisiana and raised in Oklahoma City. I have also lived in Florida, Texas
and Virginia.
I want my students to appreciate and enjoy the arts. I want to create a
learning invironment where they will feel engaged in the arts. I feel that
the arts touch every part of our lives and I hope to express this to my
students.
