Victoria Ganjanathavat
Third Grade
My name is Victoria Ganjanathavat and my last name is pronounced,
phonetically, just as it looks, but until you have had some practice
pronouncing it, I will be happy to go by Mrs. “G”. I am very proud and
excited to be a part of Rose Union; a school that houses exceptional teachers
and a wonderful administration. I am so excited about being a third-grade
teacher at Rose Union! For the last three years, I taught fifth-grade at Rose
Union and I am looking forward to my upcoming year in third-grade and all the
wonderful new and exciting possibilities it offers!
I was born and raised in Tulsa and I received my undergraduate degree
from the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Elementary Education. I am
trained in “Great Expectations” and in “Love and Logic”. I incorporate
training from these two programs into my classroom management style. I
believe that all children need consistent and daily classroom expectations,
love and logical consequences.
My husband, Yongyut (Ute) is from Thailand (The Land of Smiles). We
have three grown children. Pattya is a Gemologist living in New York, Katie
is an Attorney in Minneapolis and A.J. graduated from the O.U. School of
Medicine this last May and has now begun his journey as a Neurology
Resident. Besides teaching children, I also love gardening, painting,
sewing, reading, traveling, writing children’s books and caring for our Shih
Tzu and Yorkie puppies named Poshi and Yoda. Hazel, our Egyptian Mau cat
tends to take care of her independent self.
My passion is teaching! I have always wanted to be a teacher since
childhood.
