I am excited to begin my third year as the LD History teacher at Duncan High
School. I obtained my education at USAO in Chickasha, graduating in 1999
with a History degree and obtained my English and Social Studies
certifications in 2002. In 2005 I obtained my Oklahoma certification in
Learning Disabilities and moved back "home" to Stephens County. I have been
teaching since 2003 and have worked in New Mexico and Kansas as an English
Teacher. This summer I participated in a National Endowment for the
Humanities summer seminar for Teachers, which was held in Fargo, ND at North
Dakota State University, I was part of a group of 15 teachers who were given
the honor of studying with a well known scholar and traveling to Canada.
I am married to Raymond and we have three children, my interests include;
reading, music, traveling, and baking.
My mission is to create a positive atmosphere for learning, geared toward
everyone's individual learning needs, while educating students about the
world around them and fostering an interest in the very interesting history
of humankind.
